Volunteers have many opportunities in which to become involved. Currently we are seeking multi-lingual advocates and volunteers with high level of proficiency in MS Office software packages.
• Victim Advocacy Services to children and families (crisis intervention, support and referrals) - Training required
• Follow-up communication (phone calls, in-person contact, letters, emails) to social services and law enforcement-referred children and families
• Database entry
• Assemble information packets for families
• Participate in Child Protection Team, a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who review social services timeliness and accuracy)
• Clean playroom
• Organize gift room
• Snack organization and purchasing (all children/families are offered snacks while at Ralston House)
• Fundraising activities and special events
• Volunteer recruitment fairs
• Childcare for Non-Offending Parent Support Group (childcare is offered to clients and families free of charge while parents/caregivers attend Non-Offending Parent Support Group)
